Warehouse Overhead Crane Operator

Job Description:

Operate overhead crane to lift, move and position material using coil hooks or sheet lifter.

Responsible for the daily inspection (and completion of daily checklist) of the crane for defective parts and notifies supervisor immediately of any defects or malfunctions.

Determine weight of each item being moved and verify that it complies with the weight limit on the crane.

Depresses controls on the crane remote in order to safely maneuver the crane.

Assist in packaging of material.

Responsible for the loading/unloading or trucks as well as proper loading of machines.

Position Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.

Excellent depth perception and a fast reaction time.

Basic Math skills required.

Ability to read a tape measure required.

Must be able to wear Personal protective equipment including but not limited to hard hat, gloves, safety glasses, and steel toe boots.

Be able to abide by the safety rules and regulations set forth by the company.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
