700 Valve Supply is currently looking for a Warehouse Manager for our Stafford, Texas operation.
The Warehouse Manager role involves overseeing Receiving, Shipping, and Inventory Control operations, ensuring strict adherence to company QC/QA policies and procedures, maintaining safety standards, and cultivating a positive culture within the warehouse team. The responsibilities encompass establishing training programs, managing staff rotations, and collaborating with logistics and documentation partners.
The ideal candidate for this position should have a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in either valve manufacturing or valve distribution, a detailed understanding of quality standards like API and ISO, and leadership qualities to inspire and manage staff effectively in a fast-paced distribution environment. Proficiency in Epicor Prophet21 is preferred, and the ideal candidate should demonstrate reliable and punctual behavior, along with dedication to maintaining high-quality standards while fostering a positive and productive warehouse culture.
· 5+ Years of leadership experience in Valve Manufacturing or Valve Distribution.
· Associates preferred. A High School diploma or GED accepted.
- Oversee Receiving, Shipping, and Inventory Control operations.
- Enforce and uphold the standard of the company’s QC/QA Operational Policies and Procedures.
- Enforce and uphold all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements.
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security of staff and workspace.
- Take ownership and accountability for the quality of the work being performed by all warehouse staff.
- Establish a Training Program for new staff members with measurables for Quality Assurance.
- Work directly with logistic companies and drivers when required.
- Establish work rotations, manage timecards, and time off for direct reports.
- Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees.
- Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided.
- Manage a staff of variously experienced Warehouse Associates and Warehouse Administrative staff.
- Identify and create plans for areas of improvement.
- Champion a positive and long-lasting culture within Warehouse Staff. Make the culture a priority.
- Ability to gain a working knowledge of quality standards such as API and Trim Charts.
- Willingness to learn the inventory and become an expert regarding it.
- Ability to establish and maintain constructive working relationships with people.
- Strong decision making and problem-solving.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects daily in a fast-paced distribution environment.
