The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee daily operations in our warehouse, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety in all inventory and logistics processes. This role is responsible for managing warehouse staff, optimizing workflow, and maintaining compliance with company policies and industry regulations. You will also identify any discrepancies or losses at the end of business operations each week so they can be prevented from happening again.
Ultimately, you will be responsible for tracking all inventory to ensure our company maintains proper inventory levels for products, equipment and supplies as needed.
- Supervise and coordinate warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials.
- Lead and mentor warehouse staff, providing training and performance feedback.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counting and proper documentation.
- Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment in compliance with OSHA and company standards.
- Monitor shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely and efficient operations.
- Collaborate with other departments, including procurement and production, to optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Operate and oversee the maintenance of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Ensure that the necessary equipment is available and in working order to complete assignments.
- Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Ensuring that work is performed safely, and that proper use of PPE is adhered to in the area.
- Leads by example through 5S Methodology.
- Leads team in conducting daily safety checks on equipment, including forklift trucks, conveyor equipment, and specific portions of tractor-trailer and over-the-road trucks.
- Inspects the quality and quantity of supplies and equipment delivered to the team.
- verify that outgoing deliveries meet company quality standards, and that order slips match and have the appropriate signatures.
- Keeps team members informed about rules, regulations, policies, and objectives.
- Maintains detailed and accurate work records.
- Collaborates with the team to identify ways to improve department effectiveness; implements viable ideas.
- Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory.
- Assists with periodic (at least annual) physical inventory audits.
- Operates a forklift truck when necessary.
- Communicating with management about any inventory issues
- Work with management if products are missing or damaged within a shipment.
- Performs other job-related duties as necessary or assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the manufacturing warehouse field with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Previous experience in warehouse supervision or logistics management.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment and enforce safety protocols.
- Excellent communication skills with warehouse workers, purchasing department, and outside vendors.
- Advanced understanding of inventory control procedures.
- Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
- Ability to motivate a team to accomplish objectives.
- Ability to solve conflicts among coworkers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to perform the physical labor necessary.
- Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
- Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and cautions.
- Forklift operator certification is preferred.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and warehouse best practices.
- Hands-on experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (certification is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, and logistics processes, including freight and carrier coordination.
- Prolonged periods sitting, standing, and performing repetitive tasks.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to navigate the warehouse and reach items both high and low.

May work in various settings at the Maverick Power facilities, in offices, in multiple shops, and in commercial buildings. Maintaining the same position or posture while performing tasks and sitting for prolonged periods.
