Job Overview
The purpose of this position is to provide materials to external customers and internal crews. This is accomplished by maintaining warehouse inventory; receiving materials for stock; receiving incoming calls; assisting walk-in customers; assisting crews to load materials; labeling, maintaining transformers; refurbishing materials; tracking and logging uniforms; and operating forklifts. Other duties include building maintenance and participating in special projects assigned by supervisor. Additional other duties may be assigned, based on organizational need
Receives materials by off-loading deliveries; re-stocking warehouse and material yard; overseeing all line hardware, transformers, poles and wires. Maintains warehouse inventory materials; assists crews with material check out; ordering from vendors; refurbishing materials. Provides customer assistance by answering phone calls; receiving customer walk-ins; providing materials. Loads materials for crews by operating forklift; and maintaining material yard. Participate in miscellaneous
housekeeping and Enter data for materials received, checked out, transformed information, and time.
Position has no responsibility for the direction or supervision of others. Performs daily tasks, follows policies & procedures, communicates with, follows directives from immediate supervisor, foreman or manager.
Work requires regular interaction involving exchange and receipt of information.
This job title normally performs the duty assignment after receiving general instructions as to methods, procedures, and desired end results. There is some opportunity for discretion when making selections among a few easily identifiable choices. The assignment is usually reviewed upon completion. Performance reviewed at lease annually.

Ability to recognize meaning of common two- or three-syllable words. Ordinarily, such education is obtained in elementary school up to high school. However, it may be obtained from experience and self-study.
Ability to perform the four basic arithmetic operations. Ordinarily, such education is obtained in elementary school up to high school. However, it may be obtained from experience and self-study.
Ability to write simple sentences containing subject, verb, and object, and/or series of numbers, names, and addresses. Ordinarily, such education is obtained in elementary school up to high school. However, it may be obtained from experience and self-study.
Valid Texas Class C Commercial Driver’s License; ability to acquire CPR/First Aid Certification and Forklift Certifications.
The employee will be required to work in an office setting. Physical requirements include, but are not limited to, sitting, standing, walking, lifting to 20 pounds, fine dexterity, vision, hearing and talking. Working conditions may involve time pressure, frequent change of tasks, performing multiple tasks simultaneously, working closely with others as part of a team.
