Truck Mechanic Apprentice - New Castle, PA

Apprentice Mechanic Location: 526 S Jefferson St, New Castle, PA About CMI:

CMI is a well-established company with strong roots in Canada and now an expanding presence in New Castle, PA. We source and processes recycled ferrous and non-ferrous metals from across North America, keeping valuable materials out of landfills and in the loop. Together, we ensure that every piece of metal that enters our yards is responsibly recycled and transformed into something new.

We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Mechanic to join our growing New Castle team! This role is ideal for someone who:

- Wants to be trained and learn more

- Has at least some experience working on trucks

- Is eager to gain hands-on experience in diesel mechanics and Millwright skills

You will work alongside a professional with over 30 years of experience in trucks, mobile equipment, and millwright work—an incredible opportunity to learn from the best!

- Assist mechanic with inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy equipment and trucks.

- Perform basic maintenance tasks under supervision.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area.

- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company procedures.

- Participate and develop technical skills in both diesel mechanics and millwright work.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or coursework preferred).

- At least some experience working on trucks.

- Strong interest in mechanical systems and repair.

- Must have own set of basic tools.

- Someone who wants to be trained and learn more.

- Willingness to work weekends (not all, but definitely some!).

- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
