Role Summary

High Voltage Electrician with 8+ years' experience operating and maintaining 69kV+ electrical systems. Proven track record of zero safety incidents and successful completion of 20+ major electrical installations on schedule and budget.

Key Responsibilities

- Installation, Maintenance, and Testing of Medium and High Voltage equipment.

- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues while keeping accurate records.

- Lead or support work crews and junior technicians.

- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.

- Interact professionally with customers and represent MBS positively.

- Oversee contractors and internal teams on renewable energy projects.

- Conduct routine and specialized testing

- Strictly follow and enforce safety protocols and procedures including LOTO, OSHA, NFPA 70

- Create and execute switching orders

Qualifications

- Completed or nearly completed substation apprenticeship program

- Worked in substations for 3+ years

- QEW for substations

- Excellent communication, professionalism, and adherence to safety protocols.

- Competency with Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Go-Canvas, and technical documentation.

- MV splicing and T-Body installation skills would be a plus

Education & Experience

- Minimum 2 years in power generation O&M/EPC.

- OR 4+ years I&E, I&C, or C&I electrician experience (in lieu of solar).

- Associate degree or journeyman certification preferred.

- Experience with multiple high voltages 69kV up to 500kV

- Proven leadership in technical field environments.

Working Conditions

- Outdoor and plant environments; exposure to heights, temperature extremes, and energized equipment.

- Physical requirements include climbing, kneeling, and lifting up to 70 lbs.

- Use of PPE required.

- Overtime and non-standard hours may be necessary.
