High Voltage Technician (Texas)

# Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

- Provide on site and remote technical direction to site personnel and customers.

- Prepare job planning documents that define the work scope being performed through

- engineering instructions, drawings, and process instructions;

- Provide leadership to skilled labor performing work on customer sites;

- Troubleshoot and provide routine maintenance checkout for a wide range of equipment

- such as power transformers, switchgear, protection relays, control systems, and motors.

- Troubleshoot electrical problems in the substations on wind and solar plants.

- Perform administrative functions such as writing technical reports, ordering materials,

- securing quotations, and preparing job completion reports to customers.

- Exercise good judgment in controlling costs

- Maintain strong safety mindset at all times

Required Qualifications

- High School Diploma / GED

Desired Characteristics

- Previous High voltage experience

- Familiar with test equipment and testing procedures for transformers, relays, breakers, and

- underground splices.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

- Must be able to read schematics.

- Ability to write and interpret switching orders.

- Required to mentor and train unqualified technicians

- Proven experience in leading field service team;

- Safety must be top priority.

- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills;

- Willingness to travel;

- Flexibility required;

- Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, SmartSheets,

- Basic Workplace First Aid

- Must live within 100 miles of Wichita Falls Texas.
