Provide leadership and direction overseeing and conducting the development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of a comprehensive staff training program for new nuclear development projects. Training program activities include the development and execution of training programs for in-plant Operations, Chemistry, Radiation Protection, Engineering Support Personnel, Maintenance, Fire Brigade/Medical and/or leadership that support INPO accreditation/NRC approval, as applicable, for new nuclear projects of advanced reactor design.
Principal Accountabilities
Provide direction overseeing an exempt staff and conducting analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation to develop initial and continuing training programs for advanced reactors. As a starting point leverage Columbia Generating Station (CGS) training programs, processes, and procedures where possible. Manage manpower and resources and control the quality of assigned work to fully develop and implement effective training programs. Prepare strategic plans and objectives for the development and execution of Training programs to support NRC approval of the programs. This includes coordinating work scope with external partners, as applicable, identifying program development objectives, supporting activities, schedules, milestones, and budgets necessary to ensure successful approval and implementation of these programs.
Work with project management to monitor budget and business/strategic plans. Develop and implement strategies for maximizing efficiency and decreasing costs of projects to meet business plan objectives and achieve continuous improvement.
Determine performance ratings, salary actions, promotions, and transfers. Resolve personnel problems, determine disciplinary actions, including terminations for Training personnel.
Required Education And Experience
Requires a bachelor’s degree in education, business, or a technical field from an accredited college or university and at least six years of experience in a nuclear environment or at a commercial power, industrial, or similar facility, at least three of which must be as a qualified teacher/training instructor;
OR Requires an associate degree from an accredited college or university and at least eight years of experience in a nuclear environment or at a commercial power, industrial, or similar facility, at least three of which must be as a qualified teacher/training instructor;
OR Requires a high school diploma or GED and at least ten years of experience in a nuclear environment or at a commercial power, industrial, or similar facility, at least three of which must be as a qualified teacher/training instructor.
A current or previous Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) license may be considered in lieu of the three years of required experience as a teacher/training instructor.

Pay Range
$141,070.00 - $211,604.00 Annual
Midpoint
$176,337.00
Typically, selected candidates are hired between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience and qualifications, market rate, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.
Incentive Compensation
Offers will be negotiated based on each candidate's qualifications.
This role may be eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan. Incentives are earned based on employee performance against defined metrics and company goals.
