Nuclear Analysis Manager
TerraPower, LLC. is seeking a highly motivated Nuclear Analysis Manager to support management of engineering efforts of the Nuclear Analysis team within the Natrium reactor project. This role will manage Nuclear Analysis work and focus on execution to assure technical adequacy in accordance with company, contract, and industry standards. The Nuclear Analysis Manager will support projects in functional-related matters, including technical support, training, staffing requirements and personnel performance. This people manager role is expected to contribute to the ongoing and on-demand technical work that ensures acceptable performance of project(s) technical scope.
Responsibilities
•Manage the Nuclear Analysis team
•Keep the Nuclear Engineer Analysis Senior Manager and other engineering management informed of major emerging technical issues
•Assure compliance to procedures, standards and regulatory criteria
•Perform technical approvals on team deliverables
•Establish best practices and or leverage best practices within the team
•Communicate the status of engineering and project priorities to the team, stakeholders and management
•Interface with regulators, stakeholders, and customers on Nuclear Analysis issues
•Support any complex technical work to be performed and provide project support for the work
•Provide clear and concise updates of project progress
•Leverage technical knowledge and experience combined with analytical thinking to promote execution of work
•Use problem solving skills and operational judgement to make decisions and solve project issues
•Work with Human Resources to recruit additional staff
•Support employee development through mentoring, training, and challenging assignments
•Perform self-assessments of work processes and technical adequacy
•Ensure that work process execution and technical adequacy are in accordance with contract requirements, project standards, standard operating documents, and industry standards
•Demonstrate visible, continuous leadership in the areas of safety and quality
•Identify improvement opportunities and cause work process changes to be initiated and expedited
•Establish and enforce procedures to ensure a safe working environment
•Verify accurate and appropriate time charging of employees
Key Qualifications and Skills
•Strong and demonstrated expertise in planning, building, reviewing, and guiding research & design in the areas of Nuclear Engineering Analysis and Methods
•At least 6+ years of experience in the nuclear industry with a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other relevant technical degree from an accredited university, or an M.S. or Ph.D. with commensurate experience
•+ B.S. or M.S. in Nuclear Engineering with 8+ years of experience
+ Ph.D. degree in Nuclear Engineering with 5+ years of experience
•Two years of previous supervisory or mentoring experience or equivalent people leadership experience is required
•Experience working to ASME NQA-1 is preferred
•Experience with 10 CFR 50 Appendix B control programs is preferred
•Fast reactor experience is desired, but not required
•Must possess a broad understanding of the various engineering disciplines and how they interrelate in the design of plant systems
•Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently during a given work week
•Excellent writing, presentation and communication skills
•Ability to work with minimum direction to solve challenging problems
•The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and display respect and a desire to foster teamwork

Salary Range Level 12: $169,922 - $235,464
•Typically, our employee salaries are within .90 – 1.0 of the mid-point of the posted salary band. Any salary offered within the posted salary band is based on market data and commensurate with the selected individual’s qualifications and experience. This range is specific to Washington State.
