Seeking a Project Manager with proven heavy nuclear experience to support ongoing work in New Mexico. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in managing large-scale nuclear construction or facility projects — from initial development through to full project closure — with a focus on budget ownership, risk management, and technical compliance.

Candidates must clearly demonstrate:

Completed project scopes with dollar values and outcomes

•

Nuclear-specific project ownership: budget, documentation, risk registers

•

Compliance knowledge: NRC, DOE, NQA-1, 10 CFR 50, 10 CFR 830

Responsibilities:

•

They are responsible for managing budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. They work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure that projects meet quality standards and comply with regulations.Provides direction, guidance, and assistance to employees, contractors, and work crews; coordinates daily work activities; organizes, prioritizes, and assigns work; monitors the status of work in progress and inspects completed work; confers with staff as needed; assists with complex/problem situations and provides technical expertise.

Performs professional and technical work in supporting business applications including planning, design, analysis, implementation, integration, and management of projects.

•

Ensures compliance with all applicable codes, laws, rules, regulations, standards, technologies, policies, and procedures; ensures adherence to established safety, security, and cyber-security procedures; monitors work environment and use of safety equipment to ensure the safety of employees and other individuals; interprets plans and specifications; research code books as needed; initiates any actions necessary to correct deviations or violations.

Consult with Department management to review the status of projects, review/resolve problems, receive advice/direction, and provide recommendations.

•

Plans, prioritizes, supervises, and oversees the work of staff members and consultants involved in the design, planning, scheduling, construction, specification development, and various activities during various stages of projects.

Recommends strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating departmental/divisional outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements; and understanding current and future goals to ensure project success.

Establishes schedules and methods for providing effective and timely project management support; develops project tracking and status reporting systems; prepares various reports on the status of operations and activities.

•

Review construction plans, designs, design reports, and specifications about projects; review design compliance with applicable laws, codes, and standards; ensure constructability of plans; conduct field checks of proposed designs; make recommendations concerning improvements, modifications, design strategies, structural systems, or other aspects of project development.

•

Prepares project schedules, and monitors the progress of the project in meeting established schedules.

•

Oversees, administers, and coordinates work performed by consultants, contractors, or other service providers; administers annual maintenance contracts; monitors work to ensure compliance with terms of the contract; reviews invoices and payment requests submitted by consultants/contractors.

Manages projects during design and development phases; attends regular project progress meetings; prepares, reviews, and processes change orders for changes to contracted scope of work; processes purchase order requisitions, work orders, and invoices; reviews project progress reports submitted by contractors; monitors adherence to project schedules; provides technical assistance to projects management staff.

Provides technical advice, information, and assistance with project management issues, design activities, and other issues to contractors, consultants

•

Lead the planning and execution of facility projects, including the design and implementation of office layouts and floor plans. Ensure optimal space utilization and functionality to meet mission-critical objectives.

Requirements:

•

Bachelor’s degree

•

Minimum of 7 years of experience with similar construction, building, and project management experience.

•

PMP highly preferred
