Torque Ring Technician

JOB DETAILS

Assist the Torque Ring Department in installation and monitoring while following all Torque Ring policies and procedures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Be an active participate in Premiere's Safety Performance program.

Be there with your Lead and/or Supervisor and Premiere Dispatcher prior to leaving the facility to discuss all aspects of the job and to ensure that all the job objectives can be achieved with the specific equipment and personnel that are slated for the job

Ensure all equipment has been loaded and documented for the job you are going to perform before leaving the shop.

Assist your Lead and/or Supervisor during installation and/or monitor operations.

Return equipment/torque rings after the job is complete.

Pay close attention to specific needs of equipment/torque rings needed for installation and/or monitors.

Keep accurate and detailed paperwork pertaining to torque ring installation and/or monitors.

Assist Tech II with any duties as he needs.

Maintain focus during torque ring monitors for several hours without fatigue.

Report all incidents to Premiere, drilling rig, and company personnel.

Maintain the highest level of quality.

Load and unload torque rings safely.

Keep accurate inventory of torque rings and be ready to perform spot/full inventories when requested.

Adhere to and ensure compliance of all company policies, rules, and procedures and housekeeping standards.

Comply with classes needed for safety.

Attend Premiere Inc. compliance classes as well as monthly safety meeting.

Performs any other related duties as assigned by managers or supervisors.

Be involved in Premiere's Quality Assurance Program.

Follow quality process and procedures.

Understand the Quality Policy and your contributions to the quality objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIRED SKILLS

Must comply with all of Premiere’s medical, drug/alcohol and safety programs and/or rules always.

Hands-on physical type work

Basic computer skills

Possess basic math skills

Must always be confident

Ability to be flexible and handle high-pressure situations

Communicate and work well with all field personnel and customers

Troubleshooting skills

Ability to identify shoulder and final torque on graph

Ability to work independently while on duty

Ability to identify all different torque ring sizes, weights, and threads.

Ability to tell the difference between an acceptable graph and an unacceptable graph when working with torque control.

Ability to define the following: Delta Torque, Shoulder Torque, Optimum, Maximum and Minimum Torque, J-Space, Make up loss, pin face, final measurement, BTC, LTC

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Normal outdoor weather including, but not limited to hot, cold, wet, and dry environments.

May be on location for hours at a time

Job may require overtime hours, including nights, weekends and holidays

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Job requires this individual to be present during operating hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

Schedule will vary depending on district you are assigned

Other duties as deemed appropriate by Operations Manager and Product Line Manager

May be required to travel out of district to other districts when they are in need of personnel for jobs

Required to travel to and from job locations

Expenses will be approved and refunded at Operations management’s discretion
