Tire Technician - Dynamic Trucking Company - Paid Weekly

Mechanics Certification Not Required | Weekly Pay | Hourly: $18 - $24

Transpro Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Tire Technician to join our growing team. We offer a dynamic work environment and the best culture in the trucking business. The person selected for this position will be responsible for maintaining a successful tire program. The successful applicant will also perform maintenance on commercial trucks, trailers, and equipment in a safe, efficient, quality-minded and customer-focused manner.

Essential Functions:

Maintain a successful tire program:

- Installation and maintenance of tires and wheels

- repairing, rotating, and inflating tires

- attaching and rebalancing wheels

- installing/rebuilding and/or relearning/calibrating TPMS

- washing tires and wheels

As Needed:

- Assist Other Technicians

- Undertake minor truck repairs

- Perform Oil changes

- Lubricate moving parts

- Shop clean up

- Clean trucks and trailers

- Ability to do annual DOT inspections

Education/Experience:

- 1 year of experience as a tire technician (not required but preferred)

- High School Diploma or GED required

Knowledge and Critical Skills/Expertise

- Be able to effectively work in a team environment.

- Effective verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

- Must be able to pass all pre-employment screens (including drug, background, and criminal checks).

Physical Demands

- Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, reach, and crawl

- Ability to push/pull up to 100 lbs.

- Ability to lift /carry up to 100 lbs.

- Ability to grasp tools

- Ability to discern color

- Repetitive motion: wrenches

- Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc.) most of the workday;

- Required to be exposed to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals, etc.) often;

- Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, or similar elements often;

Environmental Conditions

- The noise level in the work environment is ranges from quiet to loud.

- Normal setting for this job is: repair/maintenance shop.
