POSITION SUMMARY

The tinning Technician is responsible for assembling thin gauge steel on buildings around windows, vents and doors.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Ability to measure building to make precise cuts using electric tin snips, handheld tin snips, screw guns and razor blades for proper fit.

- Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently.

- Ability to lift heavy items on and off a ladder.

- Safety conscious.

- Ability to problem solve.

- A willingness to cross train and assist in other shop functions as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

COMPETENCIES

- Attention to detail.

- Ability to learn technical aspects of assigned responsibilities quickly.

- Self-motivated with good time management skills.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS

- High school diploma or equivalent

- 1-year plus in manufacturing environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

- Ability to life 50 lbs frequently and 100 lbs occasionally

- Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing/walking/sitting

- Manual dexterity and mobility

- Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching

- Visual and auditory acuity

WORKING CONDITIONS

- Shop and office, potentially a high stress environment with prolonged hours.

- Significant time spent in a manufacturing environment.
