Manufacturing Technician

Rainmaker is pioneering a modern cloud seeding system to solve water scarcity and inclement weather problems. We develop and incorporate radar validation, weather-resistant UAS, numerical weather modeling, and sustainable cloud seeds into an effective precipitation enhancement solution.

The Engineering team at Rainmaker works on our UAS, dispersion payload, and in-situ/remote sensing systems. We are seeking a versatile technician to support engineering and manufacturing across vehicle systems, remote sensing, and materials handling. Work with complex electromechanical systems from prototype through production deployment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Assemble and test drone and radar platforms

- Perform harness integration and electrical assemblies

- Support field operations and maintenance protocols

- Execute builds using CNC machining, manual tools, and fabrication equipment

- Perform quality control on incoming materials and finished assemblies

- Troubleshoot electromechanical systems and implement design changes

- Support production scaling and process improvement

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- High school diploma with technical training (welding/manufacturing preferred)

- 3+ years hands-on experience with electromechanical systems

- Proficiency in TIG/MIG welding (aluminum, steel, stainless)

- Experience with CNC operation, manual machining, and precision measurement

- Basic programming skills (Python preferred)

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

- Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with aerospace or drone systems

- Knowledge of electrical harnessing and PCB assembly

- CAD software familiarity (AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
