As a Technician Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work side by side with our experienced technical team to learn and assist in the completion of Construction, Cathodic Protection, and Inspection/Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) work. Construction work to include excavation, backfilling, and low-voltage DC wiring using hand tools and construction equipment such as concrete saws, augers, and walk-behind trenchers. Cathodic Protection work to include Installation, Repair and Surveying tasks related to Cathodic Protection (CP) on On-Ground and Underground Steel Structures, including tanks, piping, docks and other marine structures. Inspection work to include working in and around aboveground and underground Petroleum and Chemical storage tanks to collect various forms of data including Visual Inspection and/or Ultrasonic Thickness Measurements. Examples of work locations to include service (gas) stations, bulk storage terminals, power generating facilities, utility substations, and along pipeline right-of-ways. This position is typically Monday - Friday, home every night with occasional travel (typically 1-3 nights) and rare long-term travel (typically 1-2 weeks annually). Occasional Saturday and/or Sunday work may be requested, but not mandatory.

- This is a SAFETY-sensitive position and is subject to pre-employment and random DOT drug testing

- This is a DOT Regulated Driver (Non-CDL) position, which requires a standard driver's license and adherence to certain Department of Transportation (DOT) rules for commercial vehicles that don't require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

- Minimum of six months of corrosion related experience is preferred
- Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces, such as trenches, pits, and manholes
- Must be able to lift, carry, push or pull objects up to 50 pounds regularly
- Must be able to climb stairs, ramps and ladders regularly
- Sitting, standing, walking, or driving for long periods of time (1-3 hours)
- Must be able to see, hear, and respond quickly to dangerous situations
- Primarily working outdoors, including extreme weather conditions
- Working around moving machinery, vehicles, and heavy equipment
- Wearing personal protective gear most of the day (safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, hard hat, gloves, safety vest, FRCs)
- Ability to adhere to OSHA and Site-Specific PPE and Safety requirements when directed for a range of work areas including Flame-Resistant (FR) requirements, Chemical Resistant or Material Handling Gloves, or other Level D PPE equipment.
Any compensation range provided for a role is an estimate determined by available market data. The actual amount may be higher or lower than the range provided considering each candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.
