Job Summary:

Piranha Fabrication is seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Support person to join our team. In this role, you will provide expert-level support for troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of metal fabrication machinery, including CNC machines, laser cutters, welding systems, presses, and more.

This full-time, direct-hire position is based at our Belvidere, Illinois manufacturing facility and offers growth opportunities. Responsibilities include:

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

•

Provide technical support to customers for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving issues with metal fabrication equipment, including CNC machines, laser cutters, bending machines, and other industrial machinery.

•

Stay current with developments in the metal fabrication industry and technological advancements in fabrication equipment.

•

Assist customers with equipment setup, configuration, and software integration for CNC and other fabrication systems.

•

Conduct remote troubleshooting and repairs, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal machine performance.

•

Collaborate with engineering teams to identify recurring issues and develop solutions or recommend improvements to equipment.

•

Provide preventive maintenance and machine calibration services to ensure equipment longevity and performance.

•

Train customers on proper machine operation, safety protocols, and maintenance procedures.

•

Maintain accurate records of service cases, including problem diagnoses, solutions provided, parts used, and follow-up actions.

•

Respond to emergency service requests and offer solutions in a timely and professional manner.

•

Work closely with sales and engineering teams to ensure customer needs are met and equipment functions optimally in real-world production environments.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

•

Proven experience in technical support or maintenance of metal fabrication equipment, CNC machines, welding machines, or similar industrial equipment.

•

Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes and equipment, including CNC, laser cutting, welding, punching, and bending.

•

Familiarity with PLC programming, machine controls, and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems.

•

Experience with software interfaces related to CNC machines and fabrication equipment.

•

Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints for troubleshooting and repair
