This Job Description applies to the resolution of all customers and client concerns with regards to the technical aspect and troubleshooting of products, meanwhile providing information and hands on support for employees. Summary of Duties:
•Supervise and instruct personnel at VAM USA subcontractors when producing VAM USA products as required.
•Perform Subcontractor evaluation and approval of processes and thread types manufacturing capability and report results to the Quality Assurance Department.
•Perform re-gaging process on products as required.
•Coordinate Subcontractor needs and questions with appropriate VAM USA personnel.
•Verify gages are correct and setup properly to measure product at Subcontractors.
•Perform field site inspection and gaging as required.
•Inspect and gage product on Company premises as required.
•Assist Subcontractor in procurement of gages, specifications and measuring instruments and other items as needed.
•Perform inspection and/or gaging of product for V&M Licensees as required.
•Assist subcontractors with accessing and obtaining appropriate inventory of goods and products relative to VAM USA product as needed.
•Maintain and safely execute the Smith System of driving on company vehicles.
•Available “On Call” in accordance with company policies and procedures to satisfy customer requirements.
•Must follow all company policies, running procedures, specifications and safety standards.
•Any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
•Minimum High School education or equivalent.
•Knowledge of all API gauges and proficient in the use of them.
•Minimum 6 months’ experience inspecting all VAM, Atlas Bradford and EVENTURE connections is required.
•Ability to set up MRP gauges with both the setting standard or with gauge blocks and Mike Track.
•Ability to interpret all OCTG connection drawings.
•Must know gauging procedures and engineering specifications and have the ability to interpret their meaning.
•Must be able to use an optical comparator and determine if the molds you view are acceptable standard.
•Must know how to view molds and determine adjustments needed for the machine to correct problem.
•Minimum 6 months buck-on experience and ability to determine if graphs are good
•Must be able to orientate multiple connections at different degrees and stay within the tolerance allowed.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
•Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, preferably SAP.
•Ability to read, write and speak well in English and possess strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to understand and execute instructions through strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
•Must be available for frequent extended travel both domestically and internationally.
•Have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
•Must be able to pass applicable testing as required.
