Technical Designer

Job Description:

Red Elephant is seeking an experienced Technical Designer to join our dynamic team in the architectural signage industry. This role requires excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills with strong conceptual thinking, visual communication skills, and a keen eye for problem-solving. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creating detailed technical drawings and plans. An interest in architecture, manufacturing and materials is a plus.

Role Overview: In this role, an understanding of architectural drawing scales and the ability to read and interpret architectural drawings are essential. A passion for manufacturing, fabrication methods, and materials is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop detailed technical/shop drawings and plans based on provided designs.

- Research and select appropriate materials and methods to meet project requirements and specifications.

- Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and regulations.

- Preparation project documentation utilizing software such as Adobe Creative Suite, and Sign Agent

- Provide technical support and guidance to the project team.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in drafting or detailing.

- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign) and AutoCAD

- Strong understanding of architectural and construction principles.

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team.

- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

- Experience with architectural signage and architectural graphics is a significant plus.

- Experience with 3D software is a plus.

Additional Information:

- Compensation is commensurate with experience and skill level.

- This is a full-time, in-person position with benefits, in Lewisville, Texas.
