- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial, or related technical field) or a closely related discipline preferred.
- Internship, co-op, or entry-level experience in power generation, construction, engineering, or industrial environments is a plus, but not required.
- Entry-level / early-career candidate with a technical or engineering education background.
- Ability and willingness to travel locally between Mars, PA and the Ohio plant site approximately 2–3 times per week using a company vehicle.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage documents, schedules, and multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to coordinate with contractors, vendors, and external partners.
Job Summary
We are seeking an entry-level Technical Assistant to support the Technical Manager and technical team responsible for power plant operations, maintenance (O&M), and regulatory activities. This is a developmental role designed for an early-career professional who will learn the position while performing the related duties and grow over time.
The role is based in Mars, Pennsylvania, with regular travel to a power plant site in Ohio approximately 2–3 days per week using a company vehicle. On non-travel days, the employee will work from the Mars, PA office. This is a full-time, in-person position with a standard Monday through Friday schedule.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and technical support to the Technical Manager and technical team supporting plant operations, maintenance (O&M), and regulatory activities.
- Assist with document control, including organizing drawings, transmittals, reports, and shared folders.
- Coordinate and support technical meetings, including preparing agendas, taking meeting minutes, and distributing follow-up items.
- Travel to the power plant site in Ohio approximately 2–3 times per week to support on-site activities and report progress back to the Mars, PA office.
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and project documentation.
- Support coordination with contractors, vendors, and external partners.
- Help track and organize project information related to construction, commissioning, and operations.
- Perform basic IT and shared-drive management tasks related to document organization and data storage.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Technical Manager or management team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to read and navigate technical drawings and documents with guidance and training.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in both an office and industrial / plant environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a professional setting.
- Korean language skills are a plus, but not required.
