Team Manager - Die Shop

About the role:

As a Die Shop Supervisor, you will manage activities of workers. These workers contribute to production machining of metallic or nonmetallic work pieces. You will apply knowledge of machine shop procedures, machine tool setup, operating techniques, and production machining methods. You will be a focal point of all machining operations within the plant and requires coordination of work with other department supervisors, engineering and management to ensure delivery of quality parts.

You will report to the Maintenance Manager and be located at Blairsville, PA. You will support this role 100% onsite.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage organization, safety and maintenance of the machine shop

- Reduce set up time and machining time through process improvements

- Establish working relationships with union leadership to insure a cooperative environment.

- Coordinate and manage on-site contractors for craft training, repair of equipment

- Plan and schedule for 3 shifts, and coordinate Machinist work with the Maintenance Planning Department and Maintenance Team

- Enforce safety policies by conducting inspections and counseling your team as applicable.

- Organize training and provide appropriate documentation of training for experience in SAP_PM.

- Prepare Technical Documentation to include drawings, specifications, Spare parts list, and update the work-order status in CMMS.

- Support the written safety program that facilitates continuous improvement in the severity and frequency of accidents, resulting in no lost-time accidents and ensuring the safety of all employees.

- Individual must comply with all safety standards or rules set forth by the Company.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or recognized equivalent plus five or more years directly related experience supervising in a Machining manufacturing environment.

- Minimum 5 year experience with operation of 3 and 4 axis CNC Machines, tool set-up, editing and inspection in a production environment

- Minimum 2-3 year experience managing schedules, workflow, safety, personnel and equipment

- Experience with software applications such as Master Cam

- Experience with planning, scheduling, estimating, requisitioning and reporting

- Read blueprints and technical drawings

- Can work overtime which could include weekends and backshifts.

- Back-up to Maintenance supervisory personnel, covering time off

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $90,000 to $112,500 per year.
