Position Summary
The Team Lead’s responsibility is to deliver energy saving opportunities by successfully managing and coaching a team of Energy Advisors.
Team Leads will support Energy Advisors in their mission to deliver energy savings projects by providing targeted feedback, developing Energy Advisor potential, and resolving obstacles to savings delivery. The Team Lead will further analyze and develop the outreach and engagement strategy for their team in collaboration with other Team Leads and specialists. The ultimate goal of this position is to support the Energy Advisors in successfully delivering the goals of the VCx Program.
Key Responsibilities
In this position, success will be defined by the following two factors:
•Success will primarily be measured by their team's performance and the achievement of energy saving’s goals.
•Secondarily, success will be defined by the successful coaching and development of Energy Advisors, implementation of effective outreach strategies, continued customer engagement innovation, and relationships built across teams.
The Team Lead will effectively lead, manage, and coach a team of energy advisors via:
Program Delivery
•Deliver on energy savings goals through ownership of the following responsibilities:

•Coach and support the Energy Advisors with successful savings delivery including working with EAs to overcome obstacles encountered and ensuring individual EA’s engagement strategies play to their strengths.
•Work closely with the Program Manager to review the monthly handback to ensure a healthy M&V and Invoiced Project portfolio. This includes working with EAs to close tickets and to follow up on Invoiced projects with large decreases in savings.
•Prepare a formal diagnosis and solution if energy savings goals are unmet. This includes a diagnosis of the causes for missing goals, a prescription for fixing, an identification of the stakeholder approval required, and a plan for improving implementation.
Customer Engagement Improvement
•Propose tools and resources that Energy Advisors need to be successful in their roles.
•Help Energy Advisors think critically about customer responses and communication by leveraging their outreach data to understand areas of improvement.
Strength-Based Management and Coaching
•Recognize and develop individual strengths to identify Energy Advisor motivations and purpose, create an environment for Energy Advisors to improve personally and professionally to deliver exceptional performance.
•Provide ongoing meaningful conversations, feedback, and recognition in an effort to have engaged teammates through clear goals and priorities and career development.
•Establish expectations, continually coach, and create accountability.
•Plan pod get-togethers, celebrations, and friendly Pod challenges and competitions.
Record Management
•Manage the pod’s utility pipeline. Team Leads are responsible for ensuring records are accurate and updated to guarantee accurate forecasting and benchmarking to goals.

•Meeting weekly new prospected opportunity goals, ensuring predictable distribution among the team.
•Prioritizing the resolution of tickets and follow-ups.
•Lead their team’s efforts to find the correct contacts for identified prospects.
•Update and maintain correct outreach sequences in Outreach.io.
Key Qualifications
•3+ years related work experience specific to:

•Managing and motivating a team
•Design, implementation, and subsequent analysis of outreach and engagement strategies
•Customer relationship management
•Strong pipeline and record management
•Power TakeOff Energy Advisor role high performance track record:

•Time in the Energy Advisor role - EA II or EA III is the preferred level of experience unless other requirements are met by prior job experience
•Successfully served as a mentor in the mentorship program
•Demonstrated experience in the design and/or execution of stretch assignments
•Proven track record of accountability for meeting existing goals
•Certifications related to the field of energy management or energy efficiency
•Proven customer service or sales experience with an emphasis on sales coaching and common performance management practices
•Motivated by helping people leverage their strengths to grow into their personal and professional potential
•Passionate about coaching, mentorship, performance management, and team management
•Able to work cross-functionally, leveraging your organizational and time management expertise
•Excellent communication and organizational skills

Location and Travel
Power TakeOff is a 100% virtual company with no physical office location. However, many employees are based in two hubs in the areas around Denver, CO and Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. Residence in one of these two hubs is desired but not required, and relocation assistance will not be provided for the position. This position is eligible for employment in either the United States or Canada.
Travel is not expected for this position. Power TakeOff will cover the associated accommodation and travel expenses for any company travel.
Compensation And Benefits
The total expected salary compensation range for employees residing in the U.S. is between $60,000 - $85,000 USD per year, depending on experience. Power TakeOff maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions.
