GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
Chroma Systems Solutions, Inc. is a leading designer and manufacturer of power testing instruments and systems including programmable AC Power Source and DC Power Supplies, AC loads and DC Electronic Loads, Digital Power Meters and Automated Testing Systems for applications in LED Lighting, Led Drivers, Aerospace, Defense, Military, Automotive, Medical, Battery, Solar, Marine, and Regulatory Testing.
This position reports under the company Human Resources department and is responsible for recruiting individuals to fill open candidate positions. The successful candidate will have experience in both technical and non-technical recruiting, from administrative assistants to manager or director level candidates. This position requires diligence, focus, and some tenacity. Frequent interruptions are common, and good task management and follow-up skills are a must.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Employment advertisements, sourcing, screening, interviewing, coordination of interviews with hiring departments, reference and background checking, and preparation of offer letter.
•Perform searches for qualified job candidates, using sources such as computer databases, networking,
•Internet recruiting resources, media advertisements, job fairs, recruiting firms, or employee referrals.
•Review employment applications and job orders to match applicants with job requirements.
•Provide outstanding customer service and consistent communication to prospective job applicants.
•Interview job applicants to obtain information on work history, training, education, or job skills. Select qualified job applicants or refer them to managers, making hiring recommendations when appropriate.
•Inform job applicants of details such as duties and responsibilities, compensation, benefits, schedules, working conditions, or promotion opportunities.
•Schedule or administer assessments as needed for prospective employees.
•Assist with hiring process to include the handling of new hire paperwork.
•Maintain current knowledge of employment related law, including EEO, ADA, Workman's Comp, etc.
•Analyze employment-related data and prepare required reports.
•Prepare and maintain job board postings as needed.
•Maintain HR information as needed per department guidelines.
•Assists with the administration of employee benefits, which may include collecting and submitting employee information and notice of change in status to health, dental, life, disability, and other insurance carriers or insurance brokers.
•Candidate must have working knowledge of recruiting and recruiting tools
•Good communication, follow up, and attention to detail are required skills
•Perform candidate reference checks and coordinate background checks with outside vendor
•Ability to work with MS office tools
•Ability to be mentored and learn company processes, procedures, and tools
QUALIFICATIONS:
•3 years of prior recruiting experience is highly preferred
•High School Diploma/GED; college degree preferred in Human Resources or any related field such as Business Administration, Psychology, etc. Willing to accept no degree in lieu of experience
•Working knowledge of industry recruiting tools; Paychex preferred
•Strong written and verbal skills, both in-person and on telephone
•Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and a strong talent pipeline
•Ability to analyze and interpret data to make recommendations based on hiring
•Critically detailed-oriented
•Knowledge of state and federal hiring and applicable labor laws especially in California
•Ability to multi-task and handle many concurrent activities
•Able to cross-functionally assist HR department on some ad-hoc projects as needed such as corporate planning events or other HR projects
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is a non-supervisory position
