Duquesne Light Company is seeking a dynamic full life cycle Sr. Corporate Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition Team. The ideal candidate will have experience in full lifecycle recruitment supporting a variety of corporate and operational positions with the ability navigate a broad and diverse internal client base. The ability to deploy sourcing strategies and creative approaches in identifying potential exceptional talent as well as developing talent pipelines is highly preferred.



Job Responsibilities:


Build relationships with hiring managers and understand their needs and build recruiting strategies to fill critical positions within their departments.


Deliver against aspirational goals and ensure that our team delivers a representative pipeline. Provide ongoing progress updates and advise Recruiting on how to think about diversity and what strategies to employ to achieve desired outcomes.


Expert knowledge of recruiting practices, principles, applications, and methods, including behavioral-based interviewing and assessment skills


Responsible for bringing recruiting best practices, latest techniques, and industry trends to the department; continuously looks at process improvement/creating efficiencies and tools to enhance the TA experience from multiple external and internal stakeholders.


Serve as a change agent with the business unit hiring stakeholders and deliver comprehensive support and consultation to their hiring teams who manage the full life cycle recruitment process


Creatively source for open roles by using multiple channels to pipeline and recruit candidates, which may include, but is not limited to: colleges/universities, industry meetings, career fairs, internet, and employee referrals.


Researches, identifies, evaluates, and implements the use of effective diversity recruiting resources and tools. Maintains a strong pipeline of candidates to effectively meet hiring needs and business initiatives.


Proactively build relationships to create a robust pipeline of highly qualified candidates for current and future staffing needs.


Utilize and maintain the applicant tracking system (SAP), understand the candidate flow process and the importance of metrics.


Conducts initial intake and recruitment strategy meetings with hiring managers, with regular follow-up and progress updates. Partners with hiring managers to generate ideas, leverage resources, and share information that facilitates effective searches.


Proactively monitors and evaluates applicant pool and recalibrates sourcing strategy as needed.


Screens candidates for full understanding of availability, interest levels, visa status, salary range, relocation needs, and basic qualifications. Evaluates employment factors such as job experience, education, skills, training, fit with organization, and future potential.


Enables positive applicant experience through the interview and hiring process. Maintains efficient and effective communications that support the recruiting activity.

Education/Experience Required:


Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of full cycle experience. Certifications are often desired.
Experience with developing successful outreach and sourcing initiatives, creating and fostering candidate pipelines, and establishing a proven track record of hiring success.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage changing priorities without missing deadlines.

Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in meetings, via email and in formal discussions.
Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (Success Factors).
Strong Microsoft office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Comfortable using data and metrics to assess ROI and performance.
Strong understanding of OFCCP compliance requirements.
Strong collaboration skills and ability to partner with different levels across the organization
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency.



Decision Impact:

Problems and issues faced are vague. Draws on significant past experience to perform role. Proficient in the body of knowledge of given discipline or specialty area. Accountable for direct level of reasoning and decision making.



Scope:

Primary focus is on daily deliverables, outputs and reporting. Accountable for managing ones own time and work flow. Responsibilities are generally tactical in nature and work is typically of moderate to complex in nature requiring the incumbent to draw on previous knowledge to perform role. Continues to build knowledge base but has a solid foundation to act independently the majority of the time. Still draws on experts and managers when needed but not frequently.


This position is classified as Variable On-Site. Work is mostly remote/location-independent, and in-person work is driven by occasional role-specific tasks and critical business processes as directed by immediate Supervisor or Manager.
