We’re currently seeking an experienced Survey Crew Chief to join our Northern Alberta operations. Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage field survey operations with support from Survey Assistants

- Coordinate with Project Managers to meet project timelines, budgets, and priorities

- Represent Velocity Group professionally with client representatives, and landowners

- Produce accurate field notes, sketches, checklists, and digital data

- Mentor and motivate survey staff, fostering a collaborative team environment

- Contribute to process improvements and the adoption of new technologies

- Support and promote the company’s Health and Safety Program

- Maintain and manage survey equipment and field inventory

Required Skills & Experience

- Graduate of a recognized Surveying/Geomatics program or equivalent experience

- 2+ years of experience in a Crew Chief role

- Working knowledge of GPS, Drones, Total Stations, RTK systems, and survey software

- Experience with laser scanning and line locating

- Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to produce accurate field documentation

- Proven ability to lead and develop team members

- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

- Experience with ATVs/UTVs, snowmobiles, and chainsaws

- Valid driver’s license with clean abstract

- Valid First Aid, H2S, CSTS, and other safety certifications (asset)

- Willingness to travel and work away from home as required

- Compliance with Velocity Group’s Health and Safety Policy
