Surface Operator

About the Role

Talisker Resources is seeking two (2) Surface Operators to support operations at the Bralorne Mine. Reporting to the Operations team, this role will assist with surface mining activities, equipment operation, and general site support to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant mining operations.

Responsibilities

- Demonstrate a strong commitment to health & safety and teamwork.

- Operate surface mining equipment including loaders, trucks, excavators, and other heavy machinery.

- Conduct pre- and post-shift equipment inspections and basic maintenance.

- Assist with site preparation, material handling, and ore movement.

- Maintain accurate logs and records related to equipment operation, production, and site activities.

- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and site protocols to ensure safe operations.

- Communicate effectively with internal team members, supervisors, and contractors.

- Work independently or as part of a team in semi-remote conditions and year-round outdoor environments.

- Perform additional duties as required to support mining operations.

Qualifications

- Minimum 1 year experience operating heavy machinery or in surface mining operations.

- Familiarity with mining site safety standards and protocols.

- Strong commitment to health & safety and a team-oriented work style.

- Ability to follow SOPs and work independently.

- Comfortable working outdoors in variable weather and remote mine site conditions.

- Safety certifications such as First Aid, Working at Heights, H2S Awareness, or Traffic Control are considered assets; willingness to obtain required training.

- Valid driver’s license (Class 5 or higher; Class 3/4 considered an asset).

- Eligible to work in Canada.

Pay: $28.00-$37.00 per hour
