Role Overview

Responsible for managing the procurement requirements for GT auxiliary equipment from proposal phase through the end of project warranty period. Responsible for ensuring all project procurement contractual requirements and internal business goals, including maintaining budget, on time delivery, and quality, have been met.

Responsible for managing project specific procurement efforts and schedules. Coordinates with other internal departments, external suppliers, and EPC/Customer. This role requires strong coordination with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with project requirements.



Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of equipment.

- Monitor project timelines and milestones to ensure adherence to schedules.

- Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality and reliability.

- Manage the procurement requirements for GT auxiliary equipment from project contract NTP date to site delivery while maintaining budget and quality requirements.

- Establish, track, and maintain equipment, resources, and material demands.

- Maintain information exchanges and communications with all groups and organizations.

- Effectively manage projects with scope and/or contractual requirements of advanced complexity, commercial and/or financial risk.

- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce expenses.

- Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize work based on schedule demands.

- Provide a central point of coordination for procurement activities.

- Understand the organization’s business practices and issues while managing requests and providing customer service, guidance, and advanced support for products and/or programs.

- Demonstrate the capability to perform work assignments on a wide variety of tasks with limited supervision.

- Make sound recommendations regarding scheduling request prioritization for the products and services being provided.

- Exhibits leadership with internal departments, external customers, and MPWA management.

- Expedites suppliers with cross functional team.

- Develops detailed plans to mitigate risk and meet supply chain goals.

- Monitor supplier production capacity to minimize corporate risk.

- Resolve conflicts as required.

- Coordinates procurement of highly technical commodities meeting criteria of price, quality, quantity, availability, and delivery dates.

- Review terms and conditions of contracts and bid proposals.

- Interprets and communicates purchasing procedures and policies to all departments and vendors.

- Maintain the records of project procurement activities/history and prepare reports, analysis, and recommendations.

- May lead or supervise the activities of others.

- Provide support and guidance to team members on supply chain-related matters.

- Review forecast of upcoming projects to establish execution strategies and direct labor requirement


Requirement

- Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university; and eight (8) years of supply chain experience; or, eight (8) years of technical experience with power generation equipment or power plant construction; OR, Any equivalent combination.

- Computer Skills: Basic personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and basic database. Experience with Sharepoint, SAP, Power BI, Excel and P6 is preferred.

- Travel up to 25%.
