YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
Your Contribution:
Reporting to the General Supervisor - Health & Safety you will be part of the Health & Safety Department. You will supervise and coordinate the training activities of your team members in close collaboration with the members of other departments of the mine. You will be responsible of analyzing the different training needs while ensuring proper training practices in place are followed. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
•Supervise and manage the training team, analyzing the training needs and ensuring good training practices are followed;
•Manage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in various training initiatives;
•Oversee internal progression & developmental systems;
•Analyze, implement and ensure the delivery of training quality and compliance with the different agreements and standards in place;
•Oversee the Learning Management System;
•Lead training development and optimization projects.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
•Five (5) to eight (8) years’ experience in mining operations, with two (2) to five (5) years in a leadership role;
•Strong project management capabilities;
•Excellent problem-solving skills, solid customer service, interpersonal skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills;
•Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite software, especially Outlook, Excel, Word
Note that the official working language at Meliadine is English.
Your Work Schedule:
•Schedule: 7 days of work, followed by 7 days for transportation and rest;
•Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
