This is an exciting opportunity to join the Operations Team at UtiliQuest, LLC as a Supervisor Gas Labor supporting our Mid-Atlantic Region. UtiliQuest, LLC, a leading provider of quality underground utility damage prevention for over three decades. The Supervisor Gas Labor reports directly to the Operations Center Manager. In this role, the ideal candidate will manage the workflow of their employees, creating team schedules and delegating tasks. He/She will assess the work performance of their employees and identify areas that need improvement. Supervisor Gas Labor will also ensure that business goals, deadlines, and performance standards are met, set goals for the technicians and make sure they comply with the company’s plans and vision.

What you’ll do

- Use a lap-top computer to document underground gas leaks.

- Read and interpret utility maps / prints to identify the type and size of underground utilities.

- Use assigned communication equipment to effectively communicate with excavators, utility reps, and company personnel, regarding underground facilities.

- Operate different electronic detection equipment, to detect underground gas leaks.

- Provide accurate documentation and or sketches to map out leak patterns.

- Operate company vehicles in a safe manner and maintain a professional appearance.

- Perform work in all weather conditions.

- Regular use of hands and fingers to operate specialized equipment and tools

- Reaching overhead above the shoulders and horizontally; bending at the waist; standing and or walking for extended periods of time

- Ability to carry 10-15 pounds of equipment for extended periods of time.

- Hearing and speaking to exchange information

- The employee shall follow all safety rules at all times.

- Will need to have the ability to work a flexible schedule (some weekends based on operational needs)

- Participate in classroom and field training sessions

- Completes and maintains all training

- Drive safely and follow company safe driving policies

- Maintain punctuality and attendance at all shifts and training sessions

- Assigned to a project for a set period to regularly find and mark underground facilities accurately as required

What you’ll need

- To be 18 years of age or older

- Authorization to work in the United States for this company

- High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience

- Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable MVR record

Physical abilities & exposures

- Routinely: work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, lift up to 55 pounds, use keyboard and mouse

- Occasionally: use portable ladder, work in confined spaces and climb stairs

The wage range for Supervisor Gas Labor is $50,000.00 - $60,000.00.
