The Night Shift Supervisor oversees fabrication operations at EZARC's Pleasant Grove facility during the night shift, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This hands-on role provides leadership and direction to welders, beam line operators, laborers, and forklift drivers, while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity. The supervisor also serves as the on-site safety lead for the shift, promoting a safe work environment and ensuring adherence to company policies and OSHA standards.
- Lead and supervise night shift personnel, including welders, machine operators, laborers, and material handlers.
- Plan and assign work to meet production schedules and quality requirements.
- Provide daily direction, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Maintain clear communication with day shift and management to ensure consistent operations.
- Serve as the designated safety lead for the night shift.
- Enforce EZARC's safety policies and ensure proper use of PPE and safe operating procedures.
- Conduct safety inspections, lead toolbox talks, and promptly report any incidents or near misses.
- Partner with the Safety Manager to identify and correct hazards or unsafe behaviors.
- Monitor work progress to ensure jobs are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Oversee use and maintenance of fabrication equipment, including beam line machinery and forklifts.
- Support process improvements that enhance efficiency, material flow, and quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
- Track and record production data, attendance, and safety activities.
- Verify and submit employee timecards accurately and on time.
- Communicate shift performance, issues, and needs to management.
- Participate in training and assist with onboarding new team members.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- 2+ years of lead or supervisory experience.- Solid knowledge of welding, fabrication, and material handling processes.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently during night hours.
- OSHA 30 or equivalent safety training.
- Experience in structural or precision metal fabrication.
- Forklift certification and beam line machine experience.
- Work performed in a fabrication shop environment with exposure to noise, heat, and moving equipment.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Requires flexibility to work scheduled night shifts and occasional overtime.
