Night Shift Maintenance Person

Martin Marietta is currently looking to fill a maintenance position at our Weeping Water Mine, NE. This position involves repairing and maintaining stationary machinery and mechanical equipment such as conveyor systems, shakers, pumps, gearboxes, etc. This position may also require to operate mobile equipment, fix plant equipment, and other mobile equipment as necessary. This is a night shift role operating from 8:00 pm- 6:00am with a work week starting on Sundays.

Essential Functions

- Ability to troubleshoot, repair and maintain all plant equipment

- Mechanically inclined on a wide variety of hand tools and power tools

- Ability to weld, cut, and perform minor fabrication on plant

- Ability to work in outdoor environment and in elevated areas

- Other duties as assigned

Minimum education and experience

- High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience

- Bi- Lingual is a plus

- 1+ year related experience

- Must have a valid US driver's license

Preferred experience

- Previous maintenance experience

- 2 year degree in welding or diesel mechanics

- Certificates in welding or diesel mechanics

Working Conditions

This job operates 100% of the time in an underground and surface mine setting. This role frequently operates heavy equipment. This is a full-time position that regularly requires long hours and weekend work.
