Supervise the operation of, and manage assets at the Rockford Manufacturing Plant, and Distribution site. This role incorporates the management of inventories, equipment, maintenance, site infrastructure and the control of CFC’s.

What You’ll Do
- Demonstrated commitment to achieving Zero Harm through compliance with all safety policies and procedures. Develop and maintain professional relationships with both internal and external customers to successfully meet objectives and add value for customers, manufacturing sites and distribution.
- Work to achieve high levels of positive working relationships with customers to fully demonstrate Dyno Nobel’s service commitment.
- Understand and enhance service requirements to continually improve customer profitability.
- Implement continuous improvement programs (BEx) by following management policies and procedures in order to meet customer expectations, business objectives and budget goals.
- Contribute to achieving budgeted customer profitability.
- Prepare and submit proper paperwork to document expenses, safety statistics, payroll information and other as required by policy.
- Lead employees into safe day meetings, and track all take 5s, JSA, and near miss reporting.
- Ensure all site licenses are accurate and up to date and report amendments to Regulatory Manager.
- Manage and maintain our local ANFO plant facility; duties include ordering of raw materials, receipt and unloading of raw materials, preparation and quality control management of finished goods.
- Drive/operate a range of delivery vehicles over public roads in order to move or deliver explosive products to company or customer sites in a timely and safe manner
- Operation of rigid-frame, engine-powered machines (skid steer) and associated equipment (trailer).
- Possess basic mechanical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs or maintenance while in the field, deliver and off load product within DN H&S Management System procedures and practices
- Load and unload all trucks, and maintain magazines, sites and inventories
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain safe working conditions in the shop, while driving and operating equipment and while on blast sites in order to protect personal safety and safety of others
- Prepare and maintain all records and reports concerning the handling and transportation of explosive products, including safety, and the use and detonation of explosives, in order to ensure accurate billing, regulatory compliance and performance history
- Knowledgeable of and consistently apply practices consistent with company policies and procedures from applicable technical modules, SOPs, work site, and safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to work accurately with numbers and perform simple mathematical calculations.
- Proactively handle safety issues and practice Take 5! Process. Undertake Job Step Analysis in order to assess risks when approaching new tasks.
- Maintain safe working conditions and assure that all crew members and others on the site follow all safety and regulatory procedures and practices to ensure a safe and successful event.
- Frequent exposure to moderate distance driving. Driving and operating vehicles in inclement weather. Road hazards. Hazardous and explosive materials.
- Ability to operate mobile equipment in remote locations and over uneven terrain.
- Must be able to move items weighing up to 60lbs, repetitively, over the course of a working day.
- Must satisfy the requirements for NRCAN Explosives Handling Permit (PAL equivalent)
- Acquire and maintain all appropriate licenses and certifications required by Federal and Provincial entities.
- Minimum Class 3 with Air Brakes endorsements required.
- Satisfactory completion of and demonstrated competencies in DNCI specified training modules, including technical, regulatory and other applicable skill based training.
- Experience with Inventory Management a plus (SAP)
- Must possess basic computer skills.
- Must be able to move items weighing up to 60lbs, repetitively, over the course of a working day.
