About Brucejack

Our Brucejack Gold Mine, a high-grade underground mine in beautiful northern British Columbia, is located approximately 65 kilometres north of Stewart. Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. We work closely with local First Nations communities including the Nisga’a, Tahltan, Gitanyow, and Gitxsan, to build respectful partnerships and celebrate our shared community.

Your Impact

As Superintendent, Maintenance Control at the Brucejack Mine, you will lead maintenance planning, scheduling, and reliability to maximize asset availability, improve lifecycle performance, and control costs. You will play a critical leadership role in strengthening reliability programs, planning systems, and work management processes while upholding the highest standards of safety, environmental stewardship, and operational discipline.

As Part of Our Team, You Will

Leadership & Safety

- Champion a strong, visible safety culture by ensuring all maintenance activities align with site and corporate safety and environmental standards

- Lead and develop a high-performing maintenance control, planning, and reliability team through coaching, collaboration, and accountability

- Partner closely with operations, maintenance, supply chain, and technical teams to align priorities and minimize equipment downtime

- Provide clear leadership in risk management, critical controls, and safe work execution

Planning, Scheduling & Work Management

- Lead the development of high-quality short-, medium-, and long-term maintenance plans

- Own and maintain rolling maintenance schedules that optimize labor, materials, tooling, and contractor resources

- Drive adherence to the work management process from work identification through execution, close-out, and analysis

- Coordinate maintenance activities to support shutdowns, rebuilds, and major planned work events

Reliability & Asset Strategy

- Lead the development and continuous improvement of site reliability programs in alignment with corporate governance and best practice

- Develop and optimize asset lifecycle strategies for both mobile and fixed plant equipment

- Ensure accurate asset hierarchies, criticality rankings, equipment strategies, and master data are maintained within SAP

- Oversee condition monitoring programs including oil analysis, vibration, thermography, and other predictive maintenance techniques

Defect Elimination & Performance Monitoring

- Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and defect elimination processes, ensuring timely and effective corrective actions

- Monitor asset performance, availability, and reliability trends to identify improvement opportunities

- Review maintenance costs, schedules, and performance metrics, making data-driven recommendations to improve efficiency and reduce lifecycle costs

- Support continuous improvement through analysis, reporting, and cross-functional engagement

Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role

- Extensive experience in maintenance planning, reliability, or asset management within mining or heavy industrial environments

- Demonstrated leadership experience managing technical teams in a complex operational setting

- Strong working knowledge of reliability methodologies, asset lifecycle management, and maintenance planning principles

- Experience working with CMMS/ERP systems (SAP preferred) and using data to drive operational decisions.

- Relevant degree (asset), professional designation in planning or reliability, or a trade qualification supported by significant relevant experience

- Experience with underground operations and delivery of CAPEX programs for asset-intensive environments is strongly preferred

- Site-based leadership role at the Brucejack Mine in northern British Columbia

- Remote, camp-based operation supporting continuous mining and processing activities

- Combination of office-based planning and field-based engagement across plant and mobile maintenance areas

The expected salary range for this role is CA$148,900 - 198,500 . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s pay history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about pay history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
