Under general direction, supervises, directs and coordinates the maintenance of power generation equipment and facilities; supervises and trains maintenance personnel; directs major unit overhauls; schedules maintenance activities; develops and ensures compliance with contractor work scopes; prepares capital and operation & maintenance budgets; ensures compliance with federal, state and local regulations pertaining to safety and environmental issues; and ensures work meets applicable codes, standards, and specifications. Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and three years of progressively responsible power generation maintenance experience including one year experience in a lead capacity.
Progressively responsible directly related experience may be substituted for the required education at the ratio of two years of experience for one year of education required.
Registration with the State of California as a professional engineer in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
