The Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) is recruiting a Summer Student to assist our talented Finance team. As a Student, Finance, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in various financial processes, including data analysis, reporting, and budgeting. You will also have the chance to work with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, learning how they integrate and streamline financial operations within the organization. - Generate reports, assist with basic analysis, and update process documentation as workflows evolve.
- Develop and refine training materials, provide user support, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in team meetings, provide updates on assigned tasks, and assist in tracking milestones and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proof of enrollment in a registered post-secondary institution, including enrollment in the semester following the work term or enrollment in a registered co-op program, will be a condition of hire.
