Structural Steel Engineer

Responsibilities:

The purpose of this Structural Steel Engineering role is to design and manage Engineering Projects from the conceptual stages through approval, detail, construction and finally the installation process.

This position is onsite at our Macedonia, Ohio facility.

Mechanical Engineering responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- As our new ETS Schaefer Structural Steel Engineer, you will be responsible for the drawings, designs of our structural steel doors.

- This role is the conduit between our sales division and our customers, so we are looking for a relationship builder.

- The Project Engineer will become familiar with high temperature fabrics and how to fabricate them for our customer applications.

- Strong communication skills and creativity are paramount for this role. Solid AutoCAD skills is a must.

- This role is responsible for performing Engineering calculations and maintain the drawing database and files

- This role is responsible for working with customers to develop specifications, take field measurements, and to answer questions from stakeholders

Qualifications:

Structural Steel Engineer - Mechanical Engineer

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering REQUIRED

- Three (3) - Five (5) years’ experience in structural design preferred

- Experience in basic drafting skills to include typical drawing layout is required

- Excellent communication skills

- Strong knowledge of computer software including Word, Excel, Database programs, Email.

- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD.

- Prior experience with industrial furnace application and refractory design desirable

- Experience in high temperature ceramic fiber applications and designs desirable

- Ability to travel when required. Minimum levels of travel are expected.
