Structural Design Engineer

If so, CLC Engineering is an engineering firm, located Alexandria, LA, specializing in civil/structural engineering for high voltage structures in substations and switchyards, currently looking to fill the position of Experienced Structural Engineer. 3-5 years of experience required for this position. Must be local to Alexandria, LA OR willing to relocate!

SPECIFIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design of substation structures and foundations

- Experience with Structural Engineering (3-5 years required)

- Physical Substation design is preferred but not required.

- Work with team members or individually to complete projects

- Delegate assignments to designers for project completion

- Work under pressure in a fast-paced, schedule-driven setting

- Meet submission & fabrication schedules

- Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

- Graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering

- Professional Engineer License (Preferred)

- Structural Engineering Experience – 3 years (Required)

- Knowledge of shallow and deep foundation calculations and theory

- Must have experience using Mathcad, STAAD Pro, LPile, and RISA Foot

- Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections/visits, etc.

- Must have excellent skills in the following areas: documentation, organization, communication, and problem-solving

- Must be able to multi-task and manage workload with minimal supervision

- Monday to Thursday: 7:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

- Friday: 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
