Structural Engineer

The Structural Engineer is responsible for providing structural engineering support to the design and estimating teams. This position reports to the Manager, Structural Design & Engineering

What You Get to Do:

- Provides Structural Engineering support and advice to the design and estimating groups

- Structural design (wood, concrete, steel)

- Geotechnical interpretation and foundation design, Site grading and drainage

- Work and collaborate with multiple disciplines including Architectural, Mechanical and Electrical

- Structural review of production and vendor drawings where required

- Ensures that proper engineering and QMS procedures and principles are maintained and followed

- Structural inspections during plant production and on site as required

- Reviewing and interpreting of Building codes

- Provide construction support to the manufacturing plants and site trades

- Other duties as assigned

Who You Are:

- A minimum of 4 years of Structural Engineering experience with Structural/Civil Engineering degree (B.Sc. or higher) from a recognized post-secondary institution

- EIT or P.Eng. status with APEGA

- Wood design experience is an asset

- Revit familiarity is a strong asset

- Proficient using structural analysis programs

- Self-starter and highly motivated with superior organizational, planning and time management skills

- Proficient use of MS Office applications
