Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Structural Steel Detailing Estimator & Project Manager to join our growing team. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who understands both the technical aspects of structural steel detailing and the broader picture of managing project timelines, budgets, and client expectations. You'll play a critical role in securing and executing successful detailing projects—from estimate to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Estimating:
•Analyze architectural and structural drawings to prepare competitive and accurate estimates for detailing projects
•Develop material takeoffs, labor estimates, and timelines
•Coordinate with fabricators and general contractors to clarify scope and expectations
•Prepare and present proposals, budgets, and change order pricing
Project Management:
•Serve as the main point of contact for assigned projects from kickoff through delivery
•Create and manage project schedules, ensuring timely submission of drawings
•Coordinate with internal detailing team and external partners (fabricators, engineers, etc.)
•Track RFIs, changes, and submittals; maintain accurate records
•Monitor quality control and ensure compliance with project specifications and standards
Qualifications:
•3+ years of experience in structural steel detailing, estimating, or project management
•Proficiency with SDS/2, Tekla, or similar detailing software preferred
•Strong ability to read and interpret construction documents
•Experience with Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, and project management tools
•Knowledge of AISC standards and connection design basics
•Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
•Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
