Structural Fitter

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in fabrication and welding, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role requires hands-on experience in various welding techniques and the use of hand and power tools, as well as mechanical knowledge to ensure high-quality assembly and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.

- Utilize various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, and Stick welding to fabricate components.

- Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as press brake machines and plasma cutters for fabrication tasks.

- Perform pipe threading and ductwork assembly as required for projects.

- Conduct quality checks using calipers and micrometers to ensure precision in measurements.

- Adhere to ASME codes & standards throughout the fabrication process.

- Engage in rigging activities when necessary for lifting heavy materials or components.

- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following all safety protocols.

Skills

- Proven experience in construction site environments.

- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, and Stick welding techniques.

- Familiarity with operating cranes and forklifts safely.

- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.

- Experience with machining processes and soldering techniques.

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents accurately.

- Competence in using basic math for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.

- Knowledge of ductwork systems and assembly processes.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
