Structural Steel Fitter/Welder

- We are hiring experienced Structural Steel Fitters and Welders for light to heavy structural steel fabrication.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Operates any equipment needed to perform job.

- Calibrate welding tools and equipment according to the parameters listed in the welding procedure specification (WPS)

- Carry out post – welding treatment of structures by cleaning.

- Inspect and evaluate welds to ensure they are free of defect and conform to set specifications

- Employ appropriate welding methods in completing structural fabrications

- Operate cranes

- Set equipment to weld in vertical, horizontal, flat or overhead positions

- Able to read, understand and interpret blue prints for structural steel and fabrication.

- Install all required components per drawing in a timely manner

- Able to read and understand weld symbols

- Mathematical skills to accurately fit

- Able to operate overhead cranes

- Follow welding procedures

- Must follow company and jobsite safety guidelines, procedures and policies.

Required Education and Experience

- High school diploma or equivalent

- 2+ years of experience welding, fabricating or fitting in a shop environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $34.00 per hour
