Fitter/Fabricator

We are looking for a Fitter/Fabricator to join our team in Florence, NJ!

2nd shift - 3:30pm-12:00am

$30.00-$37.34 max DOE

The Fitter/Fabricator is concerned with reading and understanding assembly instructions, steel blueprints and ensuring that the required parts are present and meeting quality control standards.

Essential Duties of the Fitter/Fabricator:

- Manufacturer an assortment of products using various raw materials, tools, and their own hand tools.

- Responsible for reading and understanding assembly instructions; fitting of parts to meet drawing and other specifications to allow the part to be welded properly.

- Fitting of parts includes plasma cutting, gas burning, and grinding as required to align and secure parts to meet the drawings and anticipated weld distortion.

- Understand the importance of safely handling of assemblies and the proper operation of overhead cranes and other material handling equipment.

- Provides guidance and direction to the hourly personnel assigned to the department/shift, including but not limited to providing personnel training.

- Adheres to required MIL specifications.

- All other duties as assigned.

- Small Dia Pipe – 2209, 625, 316

- Socket Weld - Stainless

Education/Experience:

High School/Trade School diploma.

Must have at least three (3) years of relevant Fabrication experience.

Basic computer skills required.

Must be able to read blueprints.

Must be able to use welding, plate cutting, and grinding tools

Must be able to work with minimal supervision.

Properly trained to operate cranes safely

Must have manual dexterity, accuracy, and attention to detail.

Must have knowledge of metal properties and other material.

Must have mathematical skills and analytical abilities.
