Fitter/Fabricator

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fitter/Welder to join our team in a 20,00 sq ft ASME-certified facility specializing in pressure vessels and custom metal work. The ideal candidate will have experience in fitting, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes. This role requires proficiency in various welding techniques and the ability to read blueprints and schematics to ensure precise assembly and construction of metal structures.

Duties

- Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on various materials including stainless and carbon steel

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications with minimal supervision.

- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to fabricate components according to design requirements.

- Operate cranes and forklifts safely for material handling during fabrication processes.

- Ensure compliance with ASME codes & standards throughout the welding process.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.

- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and meet deadlines.

Skills

- Proven experience in industrial fitting and welding with proficiency in blueprint reading and layout

- Proficient in MIG, TIG, Stick welding techniques along with knowledge of mechanical principles.

- Familiarity with using calipers, micrometers, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and other relevant tools.

- Strong mathematical skills for precise measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.

- Ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise during production.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
