As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you will lead and support strategic sourcing initiatives across the organization while contributing to the development and implementation of digital solutions aligned with corporate, supply chain, and subsidiary objectives. The role emphasizes process efficiency, data standardization, analytics, market intelligence, and continuous improvement to drive measurable business value.
- Lead and support strategic sourcing projects using data-driven sourcing methodologies.
- Conduct market research, including commodity profiling, trend analysis, and pricing assessments, to support total cost of acquisition (TCA) and total cost of ownership (TCO) evaluations.
- Support the development and maintenance of standardized supply chain master data across all PLP entities. e.g. corporate product codes (commodity codes) for all parts. Work with engineering and subs to implement and maintain part naming conventions, standard part nomenclature, standard drawing nomenclature, and revision control.
- Manage and continuously improve the supply chain data warehouse and reporting tools.
- Develop, implement, and monitor key performance indicators such as supplier spend, OTDIF, PPV, cost reduction, and compliance metrics, inc. global operating system (GOS) and supply contracts
- Ensure visibility and reporting of procurement analytics, to support cost reduction initiatives and sourcing deliverables.
- Support supplier assessment, selection, and ongoing performance evaluation.
- Assist in the development of TCO models and track progress of supply chain initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and global sites to align sourcing objectives with business needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 5 years’ experience in a similar position
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional and global teams.
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and multitasking ability.
- Proven ability to present data-driven insights to stakeholder groups.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and analytical tools; experience with data warehouses and MRP systems preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio. Power BI is advantageous.
