About The Role
As a Manager, Pricing Strategy and Risk Analysis you will support strategic pricing decisions by developing cost and pricing models, analyzing deal structures, and ensuring competitive and profitable proposals. You will work with Finance, Sales, Engineering, Legal, and Offer Management to deliver accurate, data-driven pricing inputs that align with goals and market realities.
You will report to the Senior Director - Commercial Operations and work a remote schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee implementation of pricing strategies that promote optimized revenue recognition and improved profitability following our goals.
- Work with the finance organization to assess opportunities. These opportunities involve incorporating long-term organizational business planning into price optimization. This reinforcement aims to enhance APX PDP & Delivery's ability to provide competitive and comprehensive solutions. These solutions cater to global customers' financial needs and restrictions.
- Manage the creation and implementation of detailed models and valuation scenarios for potential global new plant opportunities. Work with the sales, product management, marketing, and offer development teams to understand customer preferences and define the value drivers of Energy Systems product portfolio.
- Develop standard, early-stage price messaging strategies for each APX product that communicate the value proposition of the technology and increase customer perceptions of the technology's economic advantages.
- Collaborate across teams to identify and analyze opportunities to enhance the new plant technology's value proposition through understanding of the full product life-cycle costs. Employees can also use this information to explore how other Westinghouse departments partner on new plant deployments and provide long-term services.
- Use external economic models to conduct market analysis of competing technologies' pricing and positioning strategies on a global, regional, or by-opportunity basis. Use insights to identify opportunities for product difference and highlight the value proposition of Energy System's products.
- Partner with VP Project Financing and Corporate Finance in the development of financing packages from export credit agencies, including U.S. Ex-Im Bank and other OECD ECAs. These agencies also include other government organizations, such as the Department of Energy Loan Program Office. The goal is to ensure the most favorable financing terms for global projects are pursued.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or related field.
- Masters Preferred in business, economics
- 15+ years of experience including in team/process leadership and financial applications- Nuclear industry leadership experience; financial/pricing and cost estimating experience
- AP1000 experience
- Experience developing customer relationships
- Demonstrated experience with pricing and estimating on large international and domestic projects
- Strategic Planning and Thinking
- Manage team members outside of direct reporting structure
- Demonstrated abilities to present complicated project financial information to executive leadership
- In-depth financial and economic experience of the power generation industry
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $126,000 to $157,500 per year.
