About the Role:


The Account Executive aims to drive profitable sales growth using advanced sales skills, industry knowledge, and business acumen. You will build an effective account strategy to develop key strategic client relationship(s), maintaining contact with the account(s) at a high, often executive level, focusing on the strategic nature of the relationship. You will manage sales activities at prospects nationally for named accounts togenerate sales of turnkey microgridsolutions.

This position requires a driven and talented sales professional with proven abilities to identify and engage with decision-makers, build a pipeline by navigating highly matrixed organizations, utilities specifically, to source new application opportunities, negotiate technical requirements with multiple tiers of decision-makers and stakeholders, and exceed sales targets by efficiently orchestrating procurement processes RFP solicitations, Proposals, and Contracting. You will have experience successfully leveraging a regulatory strategy as part of your sales process, including interacting with utility commissions, regulators, stakeholders, and government agencies. You will be successful in this role by analyzing data gathered through the organization to determine sales potential, industry segments to focus on, and fast growth areas to maximize sales opportunities. Excellence standards extend to collaboration across functions to provide direction, implement changes that drive sales growth, and advocate for delivery excellence standards to maintain strategic account alignment.

This role can be performed remotely or at BoxPower HQ in Grass Valley, CA.


Objectives:

Develop and maintain

comprehensive account development strategies that align with BoxPower’s goals and maximize revenue generation from new and existing clients.

Identify and target potential customers through networking, industry events, cold outreach, and leveraging existing industry relationships.

Cultivate solid and lasting relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and partners to understand their needs, pain points, and goals.

Articulate the value proposition of BoxPower’s solutions through tailored presentations, proposals, and demonstrations.

Maintain accurate sales forecasts in CRM, track progress against targets, and provide regular reports to senior management.



Responsibilities:

Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve Sales Plan targets, maximize account penetration, and drive business growth.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities, establish, and maintain relationships with key clients, and negotiate contracts.

Develop and understand customer needs, challenges, and pain points - providing standardized and tailored solutions.

Develop proposals, lead solicitation response efforts, and engage BoxPower internal teams to ensure sharing of best practices and resources.

Stay current with industry trends, market dynamics, legislation/policies, and emerging technologies in microgrids, solar, energy storage, other distributed energy resources (DER), and new energy landscapes.

Cultivate strategic coalitions and relationships with key stakeholders, including utilities, government agencies, contractors, and technology vendors.

Act as a thought leader, representing the company in industry events, conferences, and press engagements.

Collaborate on growth and customer experience initiatives with other sales/selling partners and cross-functional teams - including marketing, consulting, engineering, execution, and services to ensure successful project delivery.

Effectively communicate sales goals, strategies, and performance updates to leadership.

Enhance customer satisfaction by ensuring the delivery of high-quality systems, services, support, and issue resolution.

Play a key role in shaping and launching new offers and services.

A key member in creating and driving the vision for the Revenue

team activity

All other duties as assigned.



Skills and Qualifications:

Proven track record of sales leadership, with experience in leading a $10M+ high-growth business

Strong knowledge of microgrid technologies, solar EPCs, and new energy landscapes.

Excellent sales, negotiation, and business development skills.

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships.

Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team.

Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

Ability to think strategically, analyze market trends, and identify business opportunities.

Experience leading project development teams and

familiarity with electrification, performance contracting, and Energy as a Service models would be preferred.
