With offices in Canada and the United States and with eyes on global expansion, Parklane is one of the fastest-growing profitable businesses in the country. While on the surface we are a ‘heavy industry manufacturer’, the business is more akin to a tech company when it comes to pace of growth, margin profile, and deep technical expertise. While we are proud of our growth, we are never fully satisfied and are targeting further acceleration via new programs that are already in motion. We are looking for proven but still hungry sales weapons who understand the unique timing of this opportunity and are excited to jump on a fast-moving train.
The Role
This position is defined as an integral senior Individual Contributor role in a sales organization that prioritizes collaboration and cross-team enablement. This is a full-cycle sales role with an expectation to close opportunities primarily developed independently with some driven by the BD function. The fundamental role of the Strategic Account Executive (AE) will be facilitating and accelerating Parklane’s continued growth across North America but with the potential to expand and lead into other geographies as the business strategy develops. This position is for a high-octane hunter, designed specifically for an individual with ambitions to proactively and independently create transformative change within an organization that is already on a lightning-fast trajectory.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prospecting Strategy and Lead Generation:
•Position yourself across the US as the face of Environmental Noise Control in priority markets like Data Center, Industrial, Commercial, Institutional (ICI), and Energy sectors.
•Contribute to the development of Parklane’s consultative, solution-based sales strategy
•Employ a multi-channel prospecting strategy, including in-person meetings, referral-based introductions, and remote outbound efforts (e.g., email, phone, LinkedIn).
•Attend and engage in key industry events and client site visits across North America to foster relationships, elevate Parklane’s presence within strategic markets, and drive personal name recognition.
•Maintain an up to date record in the CRM of all sales activity and independently leverage available tools to quantify and optimize personal performance.
2. Closing Revenue:
•Navigate complex organizational structures to proactively identify and develop deep and trusting relationships with senior decision makers within high-potential customer organizations
•Own and lead negotiations with prospective clients driving opportunities to successful closure and signed agreements.
•Serve as the senior point of contact for Parklane’s largest strategic customers, driving account growth and long-term success.
•Partner closely with product and engineering to influence roadmap innovation based on customer needs.
3. Feedback on Competitive Landscape and Industry Trends:
Maintain up-to-date awareness of competitive dynamics, industry shifts, and emerging market trends in both existing key markets and potential future ones that could impact Parklane’s positioning or sales approach.
•Conduct ongoing market intelligence gathering to identify risks and opportunities within core customer verticals.
Ancillary Duties that Support the Role would be as follows:
•Independently generate sales forecasting, KPI reporting, and CRM management, including weekly forecast updates, quarterly volume projections, budget reporting, and real-time lead tracking to support performance measurement and strategic decision-making.
•Contribute to Parklane’s online presence and collaborate with marketing to develop and execute omni-channel campaigns that support business development, including promotional content, digital engagement, and targeted outreach.
•Ideate on and lead client-facing engagements.
What we Look For
•Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Experience or background in: heavy industry or environmental acoustics
•Track record identifying, solutioning, negotiating, and closing opportunities > $5,000,000
•Demonstrated experience successfully managing complex sales cycles (6 months+)
•Minimum 8+ years of sales experience.
•High proficiency in MS Office and any CRM
•Experience using software tools and processes to perform remote sales outreach is an asset.
•Self-motivated individuals with a high energy level and desire to significantly outpace OTE
•High-performers who are excited to move fast by jumping aboard a rocket ship and pouring more fuel on the fire.
•Team players – this individual will have the potential to earn and grow significantly but only when the entire sales org is along for the ride.
Exceptional Candidates Will Also Have
•Experience selling solutions to technical audiences at the highest level in Engineering, Construction, and Architecture teams.
•History of using AI to optimize personal output.
•An established network and experience closing sales in the Data Center industry.
Travel Required
•Travel 30% - Extensive domestic and some international travel will be required as needed.
Other Details
•Preference given to candidates living in tri-state or eastern US.
•This role is fully remote with quarterly trips to meet in person with the full sales and marketing team (primarily at Canadian HQ near Toronto)
Compensation and Benefits
OTE Range: $230,000 - $270,000
comprised of Base Salary, Variable Performance Bonus for both Opportunities generated and Closed Work, and Parklane Bonus Incentive Program based on company-wide performance
