Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Omaha, Nebraska. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support patients with communication needs in various settings, including: pediatric clinics, outpatient clinics, schools, home health, and/or hospitals.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide therapy assistance under the direct supervision of a licensed SLP

- Implement therapy activities and treatment plans as directed by the supervising SLP

- Collect and record data on patient performance and progress

- Assist with preparation of materials and documentation of treatment activities

- Communicate with patients, families, and team members

- Participate in training and professional development

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree in Communication Disorders or a related field from an accredited program

- Must hold a license to practice as an SLPA in Nebraska

- Supervision:

- Work under the direct supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with Nebraska SLP licensure or privilege to practice in Nebraska

- Supervising SLP will provide required onsite supervision (including at least the first two treatment sessions of each patient and at least 20% direct supervision of ongoing treatment)

- Skills:

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to follow detailed treatment plans and record data accurately
