Snapshot of Your Day:
We are looking for a Solution Engineer in Orlando, FL responsible for developing technical specification, equipment sizing and selection, vendor bid evaluation, drawing and design review, and quality control for new business fields, including but not limited to Hydrogen Electrolyzers.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
•Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) on the assigned equipment as well as provide site support by handling commissioning and start-up activities for the components and systems.
•Conduct readiness reviews and participate in pre-commissioning activities with supplier Technical Field Assistants (TFAs).
•Develop single line diagrams and three-line diagrams by utilizing knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, (IEEE), American National Standards Institute (ANSI), and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) codes and standards.
•Drive standardization and innovation of Siemens Energy’s electrical equipment and systems.
•Drive cost out initiatives by developing new and innovative designs.
•20% domestic/international travel required.
What You Bring:
•Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and 2 years of experience.
•Will accept pre-Bachelor’s degree experience.
•Full term of experience must include: electrical power systems equipment such as motor control centers, medium voltage and low voltage switchgears, transformers, protective relays like Siprotec, Single Line and/or Three Line Diagrams;
•Knowledge of gas turbines, steam turbines and generators;
•Control systems like T3000;
•Project management and/or working with intercultural teams.
•Experience must also include: managing electrical engineering of power plants or substation projects;
•Execution of solution projects (proposal and execution phase).
•20% domestic/international travel required.
