Solids Control Technician

Apex Oilfield Services (2000) Inc. is a privately owned company providing rental equipment, service, and support to the energy industry. As the largest, privately owned wellsite accommodations and solids control providers in Western Canada, we are currently seeking Solids Control Technician for our Lloydminster, AB branch.

The Solids Control Technician is responsible for the service, repair, maintenance, and operation of Apex solids control equipment. The Solids Control Technician will be required to work in the shop, yard, and field. This is a Monday - Friday, 8AM to 5PM position with the opportunity for overtime depending on activity and call-outs. Our ideal candidate will have previous derrick, centrifuge and/or solids control experience.

Responsibilities include:

- Servicing centrifuges and tankage in the yard and field in compliance with service checklists and company procedures

- Rigging up solids control equipment and tank farms in the field according to Apex specifications

- Troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing any items found to be deficient

- Responding to field calls as required

- The ability to prioritize and work independently

- Ensuring accurate service records of all tasks completed

- Maintaining a high standard of quality control and organization

- Dealing effectively with customer concerns and requests

- Adhering to all company and industry procedures and safety requirements

The desirable candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

- Previous rig, solids control, or derrick experience

- Mechanical aptitude

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Positive attitude and ability and desire to learn

- Excellent organization, time management, delegation, and people skills

- Desire and ability to perform physical requirements of the job in extreme conditions and work in a drug and alcohol free environment.
