Solar Service Technician

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work, low voltage systems, and fixture installation, with a keen understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC). As a Solar Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar energy systems in both residential and commercial settings. Your expertise will contribute to our mission of providing sustainable energy solutions.

Responsibilities

- Install solar panels and associated equipment on rooftops and other structures.

- Conduct site assessments to determine optimal solar panel placement.

- Perform electrical work related to solar energy systems, ensuring compliance with NEC standards.

- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to execute installations accurately.

- Collaborate with construction teams on-site to ensure proper integration of solar systems.

- Troubleshoot and repair existing solar installations as needed.

- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to all safety protocols.

Skills

- Proficient in low voltage electrical systems and fixtures installation.

- Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).

- Experience as a commercial electrician or in similar roles within the construction industry.

- Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints effectively.

- Familiarity with working on construction sites, including knowledge of safety practices.

- Experience with plumbing is a plus for certain installation scenarios.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
